Hardin Valley Real Estate
The Hardin Valley community is a little further to the west of Knoxville. It is positioned between Farragut to the south and Oak Ridge to the north and Karns lies to the northwest. Hardin Valley is split down the middle by Pellissippi Parkway, which is more or less a north-south roadway that is both a state route and interstate highway. The area’s major thoroughfare is Hardin Valley Road, which runs east to west. Some would say that Hardin Valley is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Knoxville. Don’t mistake it for one of those subdivisions called Rolling Meadows or Brook Pond River, but in fact don’t have rolling meadows or brooks, ponds and rivers. Hardin Valley is indeed a valley, surrounded by lush, grassy hills but is still a rural area. Though it’s developing quickly, there is still a quiet beauty right outside of the city here. Grassy fields still border Hardin Valley Road, and canopies of trees are far from having gone away. There are even a few dilapidated barns still soaking up the sun’s noonday rays. However, mixed in with those leafy maples and shrubberies are backhoes and bulldozers ready to get to work. On the way are neighborhoods like The Commons at Hardin Valley, Hardin Valley Plaza, Vista Dei Monté, and on and on it goes. If you don’t see your favorite bank or supermarket or restaurant here now, it will most likely sprout up soon. Hardin Valley is also close to several parks and greenways. Big Foot Park is 130 acres and has hiking and mountain biking trails for locals. Melton Hill Park and Guinn Road Park both sit on the Melton Hill Reservoir and have boat access, fishing, a sandy beach, picnic tables, and playgrounds. Each of these parks is less than five miles from Hardin Valley.
Just down the road, right off Pellissippi Parkway, is Pellissippi State Community College which hosts 8,600 credit students. The community also is home to Hardin Valley Academy, the first new high school built by Knox County Schools in 40 years, which was completed in 2008. The $50 million school is made up of four learning academies: Health Sciences; Law, Business and Public Affairs; Liberal Arts; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Lovell Road Real Estate
Located on the far side of West Knoxville is the Lovell Road Area, thats right, it even has its own exit. 15 years ago, this area was primarily residential and seemingly on the outskirts leaving town. It sits in between the popular area of Farragut and Cedar Bluff. Now, it is arguably one of the most booming areas in Knoxville due to the Turkey Creek development. The Turkey Creek development project started in 1995 when a group of investors and developers paid $7 million to buy 410 acres of undeveloped land south of the Interstate highway. Their project included $30 million of developer-funded infrastructure and other improvements. Amidst all the shopping and fabulous dining this area offers, the Turkey Creek Greenway is located between Campbell Station Road and Lovell Road for those residents who like to be active. The greenway skirts the scenic Turkey Creek Wetland and offers great scenery. Once out of the hustle and bustle of Turkey Creek, there are some great neighborhoods trying to escape the shopping, but maintain close proximity to all the happenings.
